Sinking hundreds of hours into Stardew Valley is quite an easy task. With a wide range of play options, gamers can find themselves perfecting their wine connoisseur titles or fighting their way deep into the mines. Thanks to the strong Stardew Valley community, mods can further expand this experience and even address some of the small issues you may run into during your playthrough.
These mods add quality of life changes to the game while also keeping to the core spirit of Stardew Valley. Please note that mods are only available for PC players.
Enemy Health Bars
This mod allows the combat-loving Stardew players to see the health value of the mobs they are fighting. This is especially helpful in early game situations where the player has low-power weapons that require quite a bit of hits to kill enemies.
Stardew Notifications
Keeping up with all the different objectives in the game can be a challenge. Stardew Notifications remedies this with different pop-ups that remind the player of that day’s important tasks. Some of the notifications include when spirits are very happy, villager birthdays, when crops are ready to be harvested and traveling merchant days. You can go through your Stardew day without worrying about missing something.
NPC Map Locations
Constantly going through the Stardew Valley wiki to find where your loved emo-boy Sebastian is can be a pain (though we all know he’s probably on his computer). This mod shows all the NPCs’ current locations on the map. In addition, it adds an option mini-map so the player can avoid having to constantly open the in-game menu. It’ll definitely save you from a sleuthing detective headache or two.
No Fence Decay
Seeing the sad remnants of your placed fences for the first time can be quite a sad experience. Having to replace them can be an annoying one. Fences start to decay at around the two-year mark, depending on which fence you choose. This mod remedies that and stops fences (and gates) from decaying at all. This allows players to save the time and resources it costs to replace them all.
Better Crop Visibility
Stardew Valley players that love wine-collecting know of the pain of ancient fruit harvesting. The small blue pixels can be hard to see, especially when you have a whole greenhouse full of them. Better Crop Visibility redraws many of the game’s crops so players will have an easier time knowing when to harvest.
