*WARNING – SPOILERS INBOUND*
Just as we expected from Hoyoverse, Genshin Impact’s Sumeru country is full of all kinds of puzzles, some of which are not entirely accessible right off the bat. Yes, there are exclusive puzzles hidden all throughout Sumeru that cannot be done unless you finish this world quest.
Just as you enter into Sumeru and get the Archon quest going, you are almost immediately met up with a side quest that simply labels itself as a World Quest. A woman named Rana is being attacked by mushrooms and although it seems like a short quest just helping her out and her village, it quickly dissolves into a much larger affair.
Before you know it, Rana is conked out in a floating crystal ball. We run into little cabbage creatures known as Aranara and are whisked away to their secret village where we learn we need to have a party in order to save Rana. It goes from 0 to 100 real quick. But not only that but we are given several quests to complete around Sumeru where we aide Aranara with various tasks.
Welcome to Legend of Zelda’s Ocarina of Time
Ultimately, this World Quest which can take up about six hardcore hours to several days sums down to you just needing a Vintage Harp with a book full of different Rhythm songs. Items like the Kusava, which allows you to break rocks, restore Dendro pillars, and restore certain rock puzzles, are eventually added into a melody that you are able to play to unlock them elsewhere.
By following the Quest tabs, you can find all the quests to complete around Sumeru and end up with a total of seven songs that will allow you to finish the rest of the puzzles within the country.
Rhythm of Revival: One of the most important songs is this one which will allow you to restore Dendro Pillars whenever the Harp is played next to these broken monuments.
Rhythm of the Gloomy Path: This song can be played next to hollow rocks that will unlock portals you are able to traverse for certain puzzles.
Rhythm of the Beastly Trail: This song is used when coming across a peculiar-looking flower that sprouts five long purple petals. Playing the Harp can produce a lotus within the flower and clear obstacles from nearby passages.
Rhythm of the Sprout: Whenever you come across a branch without Dendrograna glowing in the middle, this song will replenish and energize the plant so that you can once again summon Dendrograna to your side and allow for you to complete nearby puzzles.
Rhythm of the Source Water: This powerful melody allows for to control the weather in the Apam Woods. Playing the Vintage Harp next to the varuna Contraption can help you clear away the rain from the area. (Ultimately helping a lot with the Dendro effects from enemies in the surrounding area.)
Rhythm of the Great Dream: Often used as a song to introduce yourselves to other Aranara, this melody may play when Aranara are singing out in the landscape but it does have the ability to help you enter and exit dreamscapes through certain puzzles.
Rhythm of Vamadha: This song allows for you to unblock paths. Wherever you see a strange blue sphere surrounded by vines, the Harp will begin to light up an you’ll be able to play this song to open up a new path for you.
