Dead by Daylight announced today during their 6th anniversary livestream that they will rework nearly 40 perks used at the most consistent basis.
The rework will be aimed at highly-used perks like Dead Hard, BBQ & Chili, Hex: Ruin, Iron Will and Self Care in order to shake up the current meta.
“We hope news of this upcoming update inspires players to try new builds, discover interesting synergies, and experiment with a variety of playstyles,” Dead by Daylight released in a statement.
The current playstyles of high-level players were found to be focused on generator regression and second-chance perks, according to internal game data. The overhaul will work to increase perk viability and variety for all players regardless of skill level.
The change comes as players complain about perk repetition being one of the top game grievances.
The release date of the perk changes are subject to change, but the developers are aiming for a summer release.
