The Stardew Valley 1.5 update dropped in December 2020 for PC, but it has yet to be released for mobile. Stardew Valley creator ConcernedApe confirmed today in a tweet that the update is still planned to be released.
“I will never abandon the 1.5 mobile update,” ConcernedApe said. “Even though it’s taken way too long, I will admit this, I will see it through. It’s complicated situation.”
In order to get the update out, the creator has now taken on self-publishing duties for the Android version.
“I’ve wanted to self-publish for a long time,” he said. “First I was able to do it on PC, then console, then iOS, and now the time has come that I am able to do it on Android.”
Mobile gamers who are looking forward to the update can take a breath of fresh air now that the update is still confirmed to be in progress.
Stardew Valley is a 2D farming simulation game where the player farms, explores caves, finds love and customizes the town. It is available to play on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox and mobile.
