Stardew Valley Creator Teases Potential Updates

The Stardew Valley 1.5 update released in December 2020 introduced a huge new expansion into the game including a whole new island, characters and story-line. Over a year after the update however, fans of the game are wondering if any more updates are coming.

Creator ConcernedApe confirmed that more future updates are still a huge possibility.

“I don’t know if I will ever officially ‘close the book’ on Stardew updates,” ConcernedApe said. “If the past is any guide, there will likely be more updates.”

Some of the potential updates are quality-of-life changes.

”One thing that will likely be in a future update is the ability to move your house and pet area,” ConcernedApe said.

In addition, there could be some changes to NPC storylines.

”I am open to adding more story to NPC’s and even making some marriagable,” ConcernedApe said. “It’s more a question of… if I have the time, willpower and ideas for how to expand them.

ConcernedApe is currently developing Haunted Chocolatier, a Stardew Valley-like game where the player runs a chocolate factory instead of a farm. He said there could be more news on the game soon.
