Among Us Update Adds New Crewmate and Imposter Abilities

Hold onto your spacesuits, crewmates! Among Us just got a whole lot more interesting thanks to a free update that dropped on June 18th. Innersloth, the game’s developers, unveiled three brand new roles guaranteed to inject suspicion and mind games into your next session.

The update throws a wrench into traditional strategies with the introduction of the Tracker, a crewmate with a keen eye for movement. This player can plant a tracking device on another, revealing their location on the minimap – a perfect tool for sniffing out imposters with questionable alibis.

But for those who prefer a more explosive approach, the Noisemaker crewmate role adds a dramatic twist. When these unfortunate crewmates get eliminated, they don’t go quietly. Instead, a loud noise erupts, potentially exposing the imposter’s location and ruining their kill streak.

Imposters also get a new toy in their arsenal: the Phantom. After eliminating a crewmate, the Phantom can turn invisible for a brief period, allowing them to vanish into thin air and avoid immediate suspicion.

Their addition promises to create a whole new level of mind games and backstabbing in your Among Us adventures. With these new abilities in play, trusting anyone could be a fatal mistake.
