Earlier this year, Helldivers 2 developer Arrowhead Game Studios faced backlash after announcing a mandatory PlayStation Network (PSN) account linking requirement. Players, particularly those on PC, expressed frustration with the update, leading to a surge of negative reviews on Steam.
The developer, known for its sense of humor, acknowledged the community’s concerns. A suggestion then emerged from the player base: a special cape emblazoned with a design mirroring the negative review graph, a permanent reminder of the incident. Arrowhead initially seemed receptive to the idea.
However, recent silence from the developer fueled speculation that the cape concept might have been scrapped.
