Want to venture into the Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree DLC? We’ve got the streamlined steps here.
First, ensure you’ve made significant progress in Elden Ring’s main storyline, particularly by defeating Godrick the Grafted and Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon. Then, you are required to confront and defeat two pivotal figures: Starscourge Radahn and Mohg, Lord of Blood. Here’s how.
Starscourge Radahn
To access Starscourge Radahn, you have two methods to choose from.
The normal approach involves first unlocking the Radahn Festival, which requires progressing through Stormveil Castle and navigating Liurnia of the Lakes. Once these milestones are achieved, head southeast to Redmane Castle in Caelid where Radahn awaits.
Alternatively, for a quicker route, gather the left and right halves of the Dectus Medallion from Fort Haight in Limgrave and Fort Faroth in Caelid. Utilize the Dectus Lift in Liurnia to swiftly reach Radahn’s location, bypassing extensive detours and encounters along the way. Each method offers its own challenges and rewards, catering to different playstyles and levels of exploration.
Mohg, Lord of Blood
To confront Mohg, Lord of Blood, you also have two distinct paths to choose from.
The traditional route involves advancing through the main storyline until you conquer Morgott, the Omen King. From there, utilize the Grand Lift of Rold to traverse to the Consecrated Snowfields nestled within the Forbidden Lands.
On the other hand, for a quicker albeit more intricate approach, engage with White Mask Varre in Limgrave. Embark on his questline, which involves obtaining Festering Bloody Fingers and earning the Lord of Blood’s Favor. These items will grant you entry to Mohg’s palace without the extensive exploration typically required, providing a more expedient route to your confrontation with this boss.
After defeating Radahn and Mohg, interact with the withered arm near where you defeated Mohg to enter the Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC.
