What Dead Island 2 Does Differently

Dead Island 2, the highly anticipated zombie survival game, has finally hit the market after years of waiting. Developed by Dambuster Studios and published by Deep Silver, Dead Island 2 is now available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC.

The game occurs in California, where a zombie outbreak has turned the once-sunny state into a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Players take on the role of one of several survivors, each with their own unique abilities and playstyles, as they fight their way through hordes of the undead and scavenge for supplies.

Dead Island 2 is the sequel to the 2011 game Dead Island, which was a hit with players and critics alike. The original game was praised for its open-world gameplay, visceral combat, and cooperative multiplayer, and Dead Island 2 promises to build on those strengths while also introducing new features and improvements.

One of the most significant changes in Dead Island 2 is the setting. While the first game took place on the fictional island of Banoi, Dead Island 2 moves the action to a real-world location, the state of California. The game’s developers have worked hard to recreate the state’s unique geography, from the beaches of Santa Monica to the hills of San Francisco, providing players with a vast and diverse playground to explore.

Another new feature in Dead Island 2 is the introduction of factions. Survivors in the game have banded together into different groups, each with their own motivations and goals. Players can choose to align themselves with one of these factions, each of which offers unique benefits and rewards.

Dead Island 2 also features a revamped skill tree system, allowing players to customize their characters in new ways. Players can choose from a variety of different skill trees, each focused on a specific playstyle or ability, such as stealth, ranged combat, or melee combat.

The game’s developers have also promised improved graphics and performance, thanks to the power of the new generation of consoles and PCs. Players can expect to see more detailed environments, more realistic character animations, and smoother gameplay than ever before.

In a press release, Klemens Kundratitz, CEO of Deep Silver’s parent company Koch Media, said, “We’re thrilled to finally bring Dead Island 2 to players around the world. We’ve been working hard to create a game that builds on the strengths of the original while also introducing new features and improvements. We can’t wait for players to dive in and experience everything Dead Island 2 has to offer.”

Dead Island 2 is available now on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC.
