Xbox Games Now Playable Without Console or PC

Xbox has teamed up with Amazon to bring Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to select Fire TV devices in over 25 countries, allowing users to play games directly from the Xbox app via cloud gaming starting in July.

The service will support the Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2023) priced at $59.99 and the Fire TV Stick 4K (2023) priced at $49.99. This collaboration offers a budget-friendly, portable alternative for gamers to access a wide range of titles without needing a traditional console or PC.

“With just a Fire TV Stick, a Bluetooth-enabled wireless controller, and an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, players can dive into hundreds of games instantly,” said a spokesperson from Xbox. Popular titles include Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II, Starfield, and Forza Horizon 5.

Bethesda Game Studios’ Fallout series is also included in Game Pass Ultimate, coinciding with the release of the Fallout TV show on Prime Video.

To start gaming, users download and launch the Xbox app on their Fire TV device, sign in with their Microsoft account, and connect a compatible controller.

“We’re excited to expand cloud gaming to Fire TV, offering more ways for players to enjoy their favorite games,” the spokesperson added.
