Genshin Impact: Meet Tighnari and Collei of Sumeru

Among the cast of Sumeru characters in Hoyoverse’s 3.0 update are the first Dendro-released characters that were available in Genshin Impact’s exclusive character banner. The first playable faces that the traveler gets to see are the Forest Rangers, Tighnari and Collei.

Forest Rangers in Sumeru are similar to the outriders the traveler has come across in Mondstadt, meant to guide explorers around the area and keep them out of danger. There are stronger creatures in the forests that take a few more hits as well as new enemies that the traveler can encounter when roaming around Sumeru. There is also the strange appearance of the Withering in which stronger enemies appear and the traveler can take damage by being in infected areas of the forest.

Tighnari

The first of the characters is the five-star Dendro archer Tighnari, one of the leading Forest Rangers in Gandharva Ville where many of the rangers are stationed. He has a bit of a curt personality when directing lost souls around the forest but he’s said to be very much the caretaker even if his personality can be said to be a bit sarcastic. Along with his Forest Ranger duties, he also takes to researching a lot of the botany that can be found around Sumeru, with enough details and essays that even academics in Sumeru City and the Academia have wished to have him either review their own research or help pursue knowledge with the rest of the scholars.

Tighnari’s combat ability is mainly as a DPS (Damage Per Second) with his Elemental Burst doing a wave of Dendro damage that will fire on an enemy and create a second wave of shots that attack nearby enemies. His Elemental Skill deals AOE (Area of Effect) Dendro damage and taunts enemies inside while also shortening three of Tighnari’s next charged shots that will release more of the tracking shots once fired.

Collei

Collei is a junior Ranger who is passionate about literature as well as quite knowledgeable about Mondstadt since she stayed there temporarily before moving back to her home country of sumeru. She is a chipper girl who is a bit more introverted in nature, but always willing to lend a helping hand after receiving lots of help herself in the past.

Collei is also a Dendro bow-user with an Elemental Burst that deals occasional Dendro AOE damage and extends its duration every time it has an Elemental reaction with Dendro. Her Elemental Skill deals Dendro damage as she flings a boomerang out wherever it flies on the field. She matches great with a diversity of elements in her party to trigger as many elemental reactions as possible for fun and effective combat.

With another Genshin Impact update stream coming out soon as well as the next update with a new banner in another month, players can look forward to seeing even more of Sumeru’s cast steadily start to release for play.
